About Life Is...
Hello, I am Sheilagh Mercer, the founder of Life Is... My journey started with a progressive illness labeled many things starting with ADD then they diagnosed me with a form of epilepsy, then Bi polar, Epstein Barr and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, and the last one was Fibromyalgia.
I had a Candida problem most of my life. And now it was deeper into the tissues. I suffered if the weather got too hot and humid and headaches that continued for days at a time. Allergies are on the list of symptoms as well as a host of others. My ankles swelled and I took on water like a sponge. I felt miserable for years. The year I walked with a cane , I started to look for alternative solutions, to be well. I was on so much medication, a list as long as your arm . Lithium , Prozac, Zoloft , Celebrex, just to name a few. As traditional Doctors tried to help.
In my journey learning about alternative healing practices, I have become certified in Mindfulness Meditation, Reiki , Hypnosis, Medical Intuitive and Quantum Healing , Transformative Self Healing, the 5 Tibetan Yogas, and IonCleanse detoxifying foot baths.
I have been a professional Artist before all this. I had an illustration business of my own. Taught wood carving at a local college. Judged in many competitions and wrote for a woodcarving magazine in the United States. As a wildlife sculpture I worked under contract for a company in Montreal. I had a wonderful career developing. The illness finally interrupted my career as an Artist.
Today I am back doing my Art and taking commissions . I have also started Life Is ....to provide to others, these same services that have helped me. I offer one on one sessions, or workshops by appointment for, life coaching , mentoring and presenting to groups. As a Reiki master I am qualified to train and certify Reiki Practitioners in this discipline.
